Will I need to drop the alternator from underneath on my 04 Jetta TDI? I open the hood and the thing is right there on top! I debate on taking it to the shop, but I have another vehicle to drive while I fix this one. It seems like an easy fix based on the feedback. The Trans downshifts to a very low gear when I slow down. It does not want to come out of that gear when I speed up.
