I like them because they're rectangular and store well in cabinets, and are easier to find in stores than Cambro. One disadvantage to the long and narrow footprint is that scooping out of it without making a mess takes practice. I think the 16-cup Modular Storage Container is the size you need. The store label says, but this image doesn't.
I have Cambro containers from 1 quart to 22 quart and when I was baking big batches of bread, I would have dough working in two of the 22 qt containers. I use them for storage, for brining, for pickling and etc. In my opinion they are very reasonably priced - I bought most of mine at Smart & Final.
When I first started using ebay to acquire used hotel pans, CAMBRO stuff and other such there was (to me) an unscrupulous seller that placed everything starting at $0.99. Because of the way I was bidding I factored shipping into my maximum bid. I never once bid on this seller's stuff because the shipping charges bore no resemblance to the costs of shipping and handling back then.
For extremely persistent odors in Cambro containers, I get some activated charcoal at an acquarium supply store and put a cup of it in the container in a bowl that will fit inside (I have a Pyrex bowl that is never used for anything else) For beverage containers (plastic) I put the charcoal in a narrow tea infuser.
Freezer avalanching drives me batshit crazy. That and not bein able to find anything. For your application, I have junked the OEM partial shelf and put two large rectangular, lidded Cambros one on top of the other, and they fit/stack pretty well. There's still some room on top for some short stuff, and enough space for air circulation. EN-631-N or (-1) is the model number, but it's not divided.
