What makes the gospel Gospel is that it brings a person into the everlasting and ever-increasing joy of Jesus Christ. The words Jesus will speak when we come to heaven are: "Enter into the joy of your Master" (Matthew 25:21).
The gospel is the news that Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over all his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy. That’s the gospel. You Can’t Outgrow the Gospel You never, never, never outgrow your need for the gospel.
We no longer live in the heyday of the gospel-centered movement. But no Christian, however mature, has outgrown the need to remain daily centered on the gospel.
