The edge on a katana and most swords is hard, so it holds a good edge. It will chip, and dull with impact of another blade. THe ideal way is simply to cut them down before they can make a cut. If necessary, the flat or back of the blade is supposed to be used.

Re: Katana 100 speaker upgrade by Mike Kowalik » 17 Mar 2026 7:54 am I don't own a Boss Katana but have heard them and thought the factory speaker was not that great. I have a Fender Tone Master Tone Master Deluxe Reverb that came with a Celestion Neo speaker. I swapped it out for a 1203-8 Black Widow and find the amp tone to be greatly improved.
