The Port Authority then contracted with the Ironton- Lawrence County CAO to administer the department. The sole purpose of the new bus system is to provide affordable transportation for Lawrence County residents in order to travel throughout the Tri-State area.

Home Energy Assistance Also known as HEAP and PIPP, the CAO helps an average of 2,500 income eligible, elderly, or disabled HEAP clients each winter and over 900 each summer.

Ironton-Lawrence County CAO’s Homeless Services is an Organizational Payee for the Social Security Administration’s SSA service. A representative payee receives and manages the beneficiary’s payments and uses the funds for the care and benefit of the beneficiary.
