Then I get lightheaded, all within about 10 minutes. And riding in a car...no thank you. Tears start rolling down my face after about 10 minutes because of the pain and uncomfortableness I feel. And the bumps in the road...ugh. I tried to drive once. I cried. I do not feel ready. But I am three weeks post op now. Shouldn't I be able to sit by now?
dizzy & light headed Hysterectomy Recovery (post hysterectomy) I am 6 weeks post op. Had LAH with ovaries left in. I have been experiencing dizzyness and lightheadedness since the surgery. Walking? Yeah, I get lightheaded at about the 20-30 minute mark, but I'm an idiot and I keep going. I generally walk about 30-40 min in the morning and again in the afternoon. Since I started bleeding I've cut this back to one walk in the morning only, same length of time.
I think they do this for everyone and it is only a few tubes of blood they take. Unless you are already severly anemic, it shouldn't make you dizzy or lightheaded and you should be okay to drive yourself home.
