The University of Lynchburg received initial accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1927. In December 2009, SAC-SCOC expanded the University of Lynchburg’s accreditation to include degrees at the doctoral level. The next 10-year reaffirmation is scheduled for 2024.
