Quizá hayas visto nite escrito en textos formales, pero eso no significa esté bien. Creo que lo correcto es night. Lo mismo sucede con light/lite. Como eres de México, supongo que has visto muchos nombres de marcas de agua o refrescos que escriben lite, pero eso no significa esté correcto.
