Omegle is the direct target of these attacks, but their ultimate victim is you: all of you out there who have used, or would have used, Omegle to improve your lives, and the lives of others.
For more information, including additional contact points for Omegle, please review the following agreements and notices which govern use of the Omegle Site and Services:
Omegle was created to provide a platform where people could connect with other people of diverse backgrounds and experiences that may differ from their own. Omegle’s Community Guidelines are intended to further that goal by providing general guidance and explaining what is and isn’t allowed on Omegle.
Basic info Omegle is an anonymous chat site where users are matched at random (within topics, if selected). There are two main modes, “text” for plain text-based chats, and “video” which allows the use of webcams.
Omegle will not under any circumstances be liable for any user content or activity within the Services. Omegle is not responsible for information or content that you choose to share within or through the Services nor is Omegle responsible for the content or actions of other users of the Services.
Omegle punched above its weight in content moderation, and I’m proud of what we accomplished. Omegle’s moderation even had a positive impact beyond the site. Omegle worked with law enforcement agencies, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, to help put evildoers in prison where they belong.
Omegle does not exert any control over the individuals you interact with, even if you select the “interest matching” chat option or the college student chat option, which Omegle may offer. Omegle has no obligation to monitor these communication channels but may, in its discretion, do so in connection with providing the Services.
