I saw a couple of you tube videos (from different people) who had bad comments about the Stihl HP Ultra 2 cycle oil. One of them concerned an insufficient amount of oil film in the crankcase. (That person fixes chainsaws). I have had a Stihl chainsaw go bad on me that had minimal hours on it...
The 261 and 550 are pretty much the same with Stihl claiming .25hp more, who knows if is true lol. I will go for a few more tank of fuel on the 462 and see how it does compare to my 576xp. Again Stihl claims about the same hp over. They compare it to the new 572xp if I remember correctly but the 576xp has the same or better specs than the 572xp. It just beat it by weight at 14.5 vs 15.4 I believe.

I bought a very slightly used, and very clean 461 in late December. The saw is a 2016, but only has about 4 or 5 tanks of premix Stihl fuel through it. The guy had to cut a tree with it, and then moved, and didn’t need the saw. I know it broke his heart to let it go, but his wife was persistent...
