When Timeline is on, your Google Maps Timeline shows where and how you traveled, like walking, biking, driving, or on public transport. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
Timeline is a Google Account setting that helps you go back in time, and remember where you’ve been, by automatically saving your visits and routes to a map on each of your signed-in devices.
Edit your Google Maps Timeline Important: When you edit your Timeline, you can choose to share your edits and related data with Google. This helps Timeline reflect the places you visit and helps improve Maps for everyone. You can turn off this setting and delete your previously shared data anytime at My Google Activity.

Unfortunately, once Google Maps timeline history is deleted, it's generally not recoverable. Ensure your settings are now set to 'never delete' to prevent future data loss.
No timeline is recorded on my new Samsung s25. It works fine on my old galaxy s20, but would not work on S25. All settings are the same on both phones. The s25 is running Android v15. Google maps are updated to the latest version. The timeline and location services are On. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Valeri
